Worldwide demand for fresh grape exports from California continues to be high. According to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 2009 exports were 34 million 19-lb boxes valued at 567.9 million, increases of 4 percent and 63 percent respectively. The value of exports has been higher in the last five years than ever before.
Each season, the California Table Grape Commission's global marketing campaign arranges global retailer promotions in more than 35 countries from May through January.
