CALIFORNIA FARMWORKER FOUNDATION
California table grape growers are proud to support the 2026 California Farmworker Foundation Annual Vine Pruning Competition.
The competition highlights the expertise and artistry of farmworkers in vine pruning, emphasizing the precision, talent, and strength required to cultivate high-quality fruit. The competition underscores the vital contribution of farmworkers ensuring that table grapes reach consumer’s tables throughout the United States and around the world.
The competition also serves as a tribute to their physical endurance and illustrates their unwavering commitment and passion for their craft.
CENTRAL CALIFORNIA FOOD BANK
In recognition of California Farmer and Farmworker Month in October, California table grape growers pledged to match community donations to Central California Food bank dollar for dollar, up to $15,000.
The 2025 campaign successfully raised more than $60,000, which equates to 240,000 meals, to help sustain the food bank’s Community Farmworker Partnership program food distributions in Fresno, Kern, and Tulare counties.
Central California Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization in Central California, serving Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, and Tulare counties. In Central California, 1 in 4 adults and 1 in 3 children face food insecurity, which is the limited or uncertain access to adequate food. Through a network of more than 260-member partner agencies, Central California Food Bank distributes nutritious foods to over 320,000 people each month, including more than 100,000 children.
THE WHOLE VINE FESTIVAL
The Whole Vine Festival is a celebration of the culture and flavor of California’s fresh table grape, raisin, and wine grape industries. Born out of a desire to celebrate the uniqueness of the San Joaquin Valley’s concurrent table grape, raisin, and wine grape cultivation, the Whole Vine Festival combines music, artisans, and industry members for a full day of celebration each Fall.
The California Table Grape Commission was a founding member in 2022 and continues to support the event each year.

ABOUT California TABLE GRAPES
Californians have been cultivating grapes for more than two centuries. Today, 99 percent of U.S. table grapes are produced in California's warm, dry climate that is ideal for grape growing. With more than 80 grape varieties grown, California grapes come in three colors—green, red, and black—and are in season from May through January.
